Putting mehndi for a bridal is a customs being followed for ages. It is considered as a good omen and a blessing of god to apply mehndi on the hands and legs of a bride to be It is said the darker it colors more the husband loves the bride. During marriages a special day is being organized in today’s time and this special day is mehndi day. As the trend has changed a lot more people has taken this tradition all together to a next level. Atmost importance is given to the mehendi day and especially for the bridal mehndi. People spend quite a lot of money, just for the reason that the bridal mehndi should look exclusive and some different style and designs.


Bridal mehndi designs are very antiquate and contain very beautiful motifs. The length of the design is very big above the elbow and the motifs include paisley, dhol, shehnai, kalash, ganeshji,etc. all the things used in marriage and which are “shubh” are included as motifs in bridal mehndi. It also contains an image of a bride and groom embedded in the mehndi which signifies the groom incorporated in the bride’s life. The groom is drawn either on a horse or with a shera as it comes traditionally. These days some designer designs have come which is customized for the bride according to her out fill or lehenga she is going to wear for the marriage.

The bridal mehndi cone is also a different one; it is made with immense care and many different ingredients so it colors well even if it is very antiquate. It contains eucalyptus oil and clove oil which helps for better color, some traditional people also put decoction of tea which gives a better color. It is a subject of attention in the entire wedding.
